Woman sues Texas police department over ruptured breast implant-NBC news

On Oct. 28 2011 a Pantego police officer ruptured Rebecca Van Hooser’s breast when arresting her. She said he forcefully pushed her against the car and that caused her implant to burst. While she was screaming in pain the officer responded with “this isn’t supposed to be comfortable”. Due to the rapture she has had many surgeries and two hematomas and has to have a partial mastectomy, tissue transplant and a new implant.

This officer should have serious consequences. There’s a difference between doing your job and being inappropriate. I can just imagine how hard he must have pushed her to burst an implant. After this she still had to spend the night in jail.

The UpRight Sleeper May Be The Dumbest Invention Of The Year –Huffington Post

New Mexico’s Worldwide Comfort Solutions came up with this new invention to help people sleep on, say, a plane. It is like an adjustable neck brace that helps you sleep without having to lie down. It stops you from leaning from side to side or forward so you won’t have to bother your neighbor. The back draw is that it looks kind of weird.

I think this is one of those inventions I wish I had but would never get because I would feel embarrassed using it in front of people. If I were to get it I would just use it at home or with family. With all that said it is pretty cool.

Victoria’s Secret apologizes about American Indian outfit-

On Nov. 7th during the Victoria’s Secret Runway show, Karlie Kloss (model) wore a native inspired outfit that many found insulting. In “Native Appropriations” blog there was a long article on why it should have never happened and why it’s so offensive. The company made a public apology to anyone who was offended, that was not their intention at all. They will also cut that look from the broadcast set to date on Dec. 4th and from any marketing materials.

I honestly think it wasn’t such a big deal. I thought the outfit was so pretty. Then again I’m not native so I can’t relate to the people who were offended. If it was portrayed in a bad way to make Native American look bad then I would absolutely agree to pull the look out and the apology. I don’t think it was as big as they made it seem. If I were native I would kind of be ok with them using some costume articles in the show.

Chinese Couple, Wu Conghan and Wu Sognshi, Pose For Wedding Photos 88 Years After Marrying-Huffington Post

This couple from china who have been married for almost nine decades finally had the opportunity to take their wedding pictures. They are both over 100 years old and thanks to an initiative that was city-wide where photographers went around and took pictures of couples who never had the opportunity to take a wedding photo. At the time when they got married there weren’t many cameras available so a wedding photo was never taken.

This is so cute. It makes me feel happy that this couple is still together after all this time and it looks like they are very happy. It’s a perfect way to kind of memorialize their life together.

Missing Australian Toddler, Dante Berry, Found With Loyal Dog at His Side-Huffington Post

A two year old little boy wandered off from his home in Mildura, Australia. The good thing is that his loyal and trusting dog was at his side. When the parents realized that the little boy had gone off they immediately called authorities. There were over 100 people who came to help look for Dante, but he was nowhere to be found. The next morning a diaper with footprints was found a mile away from the states forest which is close by to Dante’s residence. When looking in the forest the pet, Dasher, came running toward the police and had them follow him to the little boy. He was in good shape considering he had no diaper and it had been storming all night. The German Shepard had been with the toddler all night and never left his sight.

I think this is an awesome story. It just shows how loyal dogs are to their pets. That is one of the reasons that dogs are my favorite ever. I love them and stories like this one make me love them even more. The little boy is lucky he had such an amazing pet.

'Gossip Girl' set for 2-hour finale on Dec. 17-MSN News

Yes, it is true..."Gossip Girl" is coming to an end. The CW network has made it official by announcing that the last episode of the show will December 17th in a two-hour finale. "Gossip Girl" has been on the network for a little bit over five years. The show is to have a look back at all the unforgettable moments of the show and will also include interviews with the cast and creators. During the finale, there will be a sneak peak of "The Carrie Diaries" which is an offshoot of "Sex and the City".

I was so sad to hear this. This is one of my favorite shows ever!! I read the books and got addicted to them. The books and shows are totally different but they are still good. I will definitely be watching on the 17th. I am excited for "The Carrie Diaries". I read the book and was hooked. While reading I hoped it would become a series, my wish came true and I’m a happy camper 
